KaleyedesCapesTM
KaleyedesCapes are created by repeating and reorienting, though never fundamentally altering, simple Cape Cod images. As such, they are about the big picture and the little, the individual and interconnectedness, stability and change.
Look closer, or maybe from farther away. What do you see? Can you find the original image in each KaleyedesCape? What else do you see?
My vision for KaleyedesCapes was to start with images of places and objects found on Cape Cod, and then to move beyond the Cape. I imagined I'd eventually lower the "C" and raise the "S" and create a series of KaleyedeScapes - images created from cityscapes and other landscapes around the country. When I get the chance to venture to more exotic places - Bali, the Galapagos, and beyond, I'll lower the "S" and raise the "E" - creating KaleyedEscapes. That's the story I've been telling for the last few years. I'm happy to report that today I lowered the "C" and now have my first set of KaleyedeScape images - KaleyeScapes: Boston!
