If you look to the left and you see something other than a hat, and you smile a little knowing smile, you'll probably learn whatever you might need or want to learn about me by wandering around my website - looking at my photos, reading a page header, blog entry, photo note or two.  

For others of you, I've included this page to help you get a sense of who I  am.  It's very broad stokes only.  And although I suppose a salary history would 'tell it all' for some, I've decided not to provide one.

As these are 'conventional credentials,' and my 'conventional life' was largely lived in the fields of sociology, education, and research, only credentials related to that life appear below.
